Summer Sun Style

Summer Sun Style

Summer doesn't have to be about flashy colors and nearly there clothing. At least not when you live in the Bay Area:) Our Summer Sun shoot was about muted tones and easy going style.

The Micro-Factory

The Micro-Factory
During our recent trip to Portland, Oregon we got to see where Make it Good, well, makes everything good. It's a small factory where they screen print, cut, sew, and package their designs. I popped in on an unusually quiet Monday, but did get to witness them blocking the fabric to cut the Sails Spaghetti Strap Dress and check out all the different machines. It is amazing how each machine has a specific purpose and the many steps involved in making one garment.

A large table is centered in the room for cutting. The garment pieces are cut after the fabric has been dyed (off-site), screen printed, and dried.

A custom tool was built to make screening large pieces possible with one person.

Here the back of the Marine Rain Dress from the Fall 2015 is getting rained on.

After screening, the fabric goes in the large conveyor dryer.

Once the printing is complete and each pattern piece is cut, the garments are sewn into the tops, dresses, sweatshirts, and leggings you see in our shop.

The Spring Collection available at Dandelion Post.

Get Cozy for Fall

Get Cozy for Fall

When the air gets crisp, cozy sweaters and soft layers become important wardrobe staples. These are some of our favorites for this season.

The Diamond Sweater has an open knit with a beautiful diamond pattern for texture. We paired it with the Ribbed Tank, Union Black High Rise Jeans, and black boots.

The Washed Plaid Button Down (available in-store only) is soft with a double layer of fabric for warmth. It's easy to wear with any skirt or pants. We show it with equally soft Genetic Denim Leaf Flairs.

Bella Dahl washed plaid shirt

The Sweater Poncho looks great layered over a tee, sleeveless mock turtle neck, or a solid colored dress. We coupled it with the Lazy Long Tee made out of eucalyptus, Genetic Denim Flairs, Open Half Circle Necklace, and Chestnut Leather Tote.

When you want to be comfortable but pulled together - the Pebble Cardigan with Black Seam Leggings, Bordeaux Tee, and Portal Hoops.

It doesn't get more comfortable than joggers that are perfect for walking the dog or running errands. We matched the Essential Jogger with the coordinating Essential Sweatshirt and Calico Crew Socks for a cute lounge-around-the-house look.
